TRAVEL

We are so grateful that you are traveling to celebrate with us - so we are here to help. On this page we are providing some different ways - depending on your schedule - on how to get to the wedding destination.

AIRPORT

We recommend guest to fly into Seville Airport (SVQ) by Tuesday November 25, we will be providing shuttle services from Seville to Jerez/Arcos on morning of Wednesday November 26 for guest who do not want to rent a car.

Other airports to fly into depending on your travel schedule:

  1. If you are already traveling in Europe/Spain Jerez Airport(XRY), a smaller regional airport just 15 mins from town

  2. For those who want to visit Malaga, Malaga airport (AGP), a larger international airport is the birthplace of Picasso and coastal vibes

  3. Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN) are great first stops if you are looking for a big city to visit either before or after the wedding

SHUTTLE SERVICES

We’ll be offering complimentary shuttles from Seville airports to Jerez on the morning of Wednesday, November 26th. If you’d like to join the shuttle, we’ll send out a sign-up form closer to the date.

OTHER OPTIONS

Prefer to take the scenic route? Renting a car is a great way to soak in the Andalusian countryside at your own pace. If you're arriving a few days early, it’s the perfect chance to uncover hidden gems and explore beyond the town. Be sure to check out our Things to do page to see some of the places we loved visiting during our July trip.

HOTELS

We recommend booking a place in or near the historic center of Jerez de la Frontera or Arcos de la Frontera. It's walkable, welcoming, and a great home base for the weekend.

TIPS

We’ve gathered some helpful tips to make your trip as smooth, comfortable, and joy-filled as possible. Here’s what we’d think would be helpful know:

Layers are your best friend – November brings sunny days and cozy evenings. Pack a shawl, light jacket, or coat to stay warm once the stars come out. Sneakers or boots are also a great choice for the weather and terrain.

  1. International Data Roaming - During our trip to Spain, we discovered Airalo, an app that allows you to buy and install an e-sim directly to your mobile device for cheaper than roaming cost & on-site e-sim purchases (use code: ANDREA61971 for a discount)

  2. Rain is rare, but possible – A compact umbrella or raincoat might come in handy for a passing drizzle (and makes for a cute photo prop, too).

  3. Comfort meets cobblestones – From winding alleys to scenic overlooks, comfy closed-toe shoes are perfect for wandering by day and dancing by night.

  4. Sunset comes early – Golden hour starts around 5 p.m.—ideal for photos, cocktails, or a slow stroll through town.

  5. Tapas = a way of life – Meals start later here. Lunch is typically from 2–3:30 p.m., and dinner begins around 9–11 p.m. Embrace the unhurried pace, sample small plates, and let the evening stretch.

  6. Tastes of the season – Local favorites like salmorejo, warm stews, and roasted chestnuts are perfect for the season. Trust the menus—and your appetite.

  7. Low bugs, high charm – Fewer mosquitoes in November, but a dab of repellent might help near gardens or fountains.

  8. Cultural tip: slow is the style – Time flows differently here. Embrace the pauses, the chats, and the fact that dinner might not start until 9.

  9. Spanish greetings go a long way – A friendly “hola” or “gracias” can open doors—literally. Locals appreciate small efforts to connect.

  10. Siesta is real – Many shops close mid-afternoon for siesta (check with Sarah for exact hours), so plan errands or shopping before 2 p.m. when possible.

  11. Cash is still useful – While cards are accepted most places, it’s handy to have euros for small shops, taxis and charming cash-only tapas bars.

  12. Tipping is optional – Servers are paid a living wage, so tipping isn’t expected. That said, if your service is exceptional, a 10% tip is a lovely gesture.

  13. Stay alert, stay relaxed – Just like traveling anywhere, be aware of your surroundings and belongings—especially in crowded areas or when setting down bags.

  14. Watch for cars – Some streets may feel pedestrian-only, but cars do pass through. Stay alert, especially in older parts of town.

  15. Bring warmth (besides your coat) – Most of all, come ready to relax, connect, and celebrate. We can’t wait to share this beautiful corner of Spain with you.
